At the time the logger brought the tree trunk to the museum, the authorities were on their way to having the museum inaugurated. For sure, they admitted it would be a huge success, but they would have to get the real story behind how the dog ended up there in the first place. That moment only saw them with the story that said a group of loggers discovered the tree.
They were yearning for the story when a biological anthropologist, Kristina Killgrove, decided to step on the scene to help unearth the mystery.

Solving the Puzzle

Kristina started working hard on the project to provide the real details about the artifact. She investigated the tree itself deeply as well as the dog that was inside it. At first, she confirmed that the dog may have been mummified but would soon rubbish that claim after realizing that it would not have been possible to happen.
Based at the University of West Florida, Kristina would soon further her investigations that puzzled onlookers the explanation to her answers.
