A Journey to the Answers
The woodcutters believed the only way they could get the answers was to take the trunk to a scientist who could do the relevant research to get the answers. However, they were in for a long wait as it took over a year before they got any solid information from the scientist.
For sure, as the revelation was made to the loggers a year later (1981), they had some form of relief that they got the answers, but it was sure a sad story about the pooch.
Donated to the Museum
The Southern Forest World is a museum located in Waycross, Georgia. Opening the museum was an idea under the Southeastern United States’ Forestry Industry. It has a vast collection of lumber products ranging from ancient America to the present day.
The mystery tree trunk ended up at this museum as they gave it as a donation to the museum authorities for helping them to solve the mystery. It is now an artifact for those who visit the museum.
