The Holt Tractor
It might not be one of the most famous inventions in the world, but the Holt tractor was actually used quite extensively during both world wars. The company that manufactures them first entered the market in the 19th century, and by the early 1910’s they were found all over the world. They were initially used by the military to haul artillery, but over time their uses have expanded. Today, it’s not uncommon to find a Holt tractor, or something similar, on farms all across the country.

Who knew that jetpacks were not just something when you activate a cheap while playing Grand Theft Auto! These incredible inventions, which were seen in sci-fi movies in the 1960’s, had their start all the way back in 1919. The concept was first commissioned by the Russians, but the project never materialized. In the early nineties, Kennie Gibson made a historic flight that was half a minute long, and to this day Google is trying to perfect the rather expensive technology for commercial use.
