Mobile X-Rays

Where would we be without X-Ray technology to help us tend to our teeth, broken bones and medical surgeries? It used to be impossible to conduct an X-Ray in a mobile unit, mostly because of the fears around radiation and the practical nature of getting a large machine from one location to the next. Thanks to military innovations, mobile X-Rays are now widely available all over the world, which makes it easier for people to get treated, similar to how it was when doctors had to bounce between war victims during times of battle.

The Jerry Can

The Germans were first to introduce a twenty litre can of petrol to their operations at the start of the 1930’s. Soon after, everyone wanted to get a piece of the action, especially as the cans sped up refueling processes, and made operations more efficient than they had been previously. A household version of the same product is now called a “Jerry Can”, named after the slang nickname for a German soldier given by the Americans, a “Jerry”.
