AMBER
All the emergency messages broadcasted by an alert via a system called “AMBER” (America’s Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response) in the US. It is taken into consideration when law enforcement agencies are informed that a child is missing and might be in a dangerous situation. All information about the child and the abductor including the information of the vehicle and description of both of them are broadcasted, which would help them find the child.
Safe Recovery
The AMBER alert system is named after a 9-year-old boy Amber Hagerman who was kidnapped in Texas and then killed in the year 1996. Since then all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands got the AMBER system implemented to create alerts. AMBER system is known to help in the safe recovery of some 985 children till now.
