Missing children are classified into various types in the United States, mainly: Family abductions, thrown away, lost or the runaways. With the advanced technology we have, there are a lot of different ways to raise alarms when a child is missing. But how many such kids are still missing in the US?
Active Missing Cases
According to the FBI’s NCIC (National Crime Information Center), the number of persons currently missing files to 87,438 records. Out of these cases, 30,618 are children under the age of 18. That is almost 35% of the cases. So how do the authorities track these people?
