Is it possible that April’s bag may have been stolen that day on the lake? If that was the case, it could have been snatched and thrown in the water. Perhaps the items in the bag, including the cash that was found by Brodie and Ben, indicate that if someone took it, they didn’t have intentions to steal the items inside it. Had it simply fallen over from the side of the boat?

The question of exactly what had happened to the bag may never be answered. April admits that now that she has the bag and its contents in her possession again, her mind often lingers to the day, wondering about who was there and what might have actually happened.
