The well-established Motown artist called George Clinton is famous for writing and producing all manner of successful songs under a number of exclusive Detroit soul labels. The Parliaments was a project that he initiated, which would later be called Parliament and Funkadelic. Clinton would come to be appreciated for his individual electro-funk and acid rock fusions. Isaac Hayes was integral in the formation of Stax Records. The studio guitarist worked as an in-house gem long before he commenced his career as a serious singer-songwriter. The Tennessee-born legend would write and record hit tracks such as Soul Man, which is recognized as one of the most important soul songs ever made. He would also provide films with music scores. Shaft’s score was probably his most notable score, which he won an Oscar for.
