Melanie Lynskey as Rose | Now
If the character of Rose was somewhat disquieting, at least a great deal of credit must be given to actress Melanie Lynskey for her challenging task of portraying the character. The sheer emotional intelligence combined with the unmatched portrayal of Rose’s lack of self-awareness is an acting feat not to be scoffed at. We honestly cannot imagine this character working in the hands of any other actress, and her acting chops did not go unnoticed. Although she had a few films under her belt by the time she took the role of Rose, it was during and after her time with Two and a Half Men that her career really took off. With leading roles in ‘Hello I Must Be Going’, followed by ’Happy Christmas’, ’The Intervention’, and ’I Don’t Feel Like Home in This World Anymore’ she has solidified herself as an actor of immense aptitude and range.
