With the added light, Christopher could now take a better look at the mine’s walls, then seeing that they were coated in strangely sparkling stuff. He became enchanted with this bright mineral. It seemed to Christopher like he was surrounded by raw gold. As it would turn out, there were things far more fascinating than the glittering walls, however, as his eyes landed on a mind-blowing point of interest.

With all the sunlight that his little patch of paradise received, Christopher was amazed at how frigid the mine was. Each step he took left a deep footprint in the dirt, which to his perceptive mind meant that somewhere in this mine lay a body of water. The amount of dampness within almost satisfied his theory. It was soon becoming abundantly clear to Christopher that this mine was far more interesting than he could imagine.
