But there was more to Kyle’s misery than just how much he had missed John. Kyle was a police dog through and through, and despite appreciating his new lush environment, he had also missed his position on the force. They say that you cannot teach an old dog new tricks, and Kyle missed his days serving and protecting. The only way that he could get that old rush back was by getting John involved in a mock case.

There was no way that Kyle could be irritated at his old partner. This had been one of the most incredible shows of affection and commitment that an animal had ever shown a human.
