Together Again
It was then that John kneeled down and began ruffling his pooch’s head, staring into those dark lovely eyes with amusement and pride. While most officers would have been aggravated to have their time and resources wasted when they could be dealing with actual crimes, John saw this as an unexpected opportunity to reconnect with his furry friend. He was just appreciative that they had been reunited, even if it not in a conventional manner.

It was almost like Kyle was calling for John when he began barking intensely, as if this was his way of communicating to John how desperate he was to see him. Somehow, Kyle had thought up a way to bring John back into his life, even if it had gone against all his training and duties. Despite the amount of time that had passed since they had gone their separate ways, Kyle still clearly remembered John dearly.
