Nearing The Scene
John knew Kyle better than anyone in the world, and he was assured that Kyle was capable enough to take any danger on heroically. This was what Kyle had been trained for all his life, and he was prepared better than most for action. John did suggest that the Smiths carefully inspect the tree that Kyle had targeted, but to practice the utmost caution in case there was some present threat. The Smiths wondered if drugs had been hidden in the tree. This would have been a relief compared to what actually had been placed in there.
