His sweaty fingers slid across the screen as he trembled while dialing up the police officer. Mr. Smith stuttered nervously as he explained what they had discovered within the ancient oak. John did not hesitate to inform his forensic team, telling Mr. Smith that it was time for him and his family to make a hasty retreat.

Incredibly, even an old and incredibly experienced police officer like Kyle was at a loss as to what to do next, or what he was even looking at. The dog was happy to have Mr. Smith by his side, however, and greatly appreciated how his new partner had bravely come to his aid, even without any kind of relevant training. It was not even a choice for Mr. Smith, as he had to help his dog and establish whether his family was in danger or not.
