Since October 2019, the members of the Anangu tribe have requested that visitors refrain from climbing on this peculiar-looking sandstone monolith owing to the erosion it was creating. In the past, travelers were permitted to climb on it, but now they are not allowed to do so. And although it’s true that you can’t scale Uluru anymore, it doesn’t mean you can’t still go see it!
