Paris Catacombs, France
There aren’t so many places in the world that are creepier than the Paris catacombs, which are a network of underground corridors that run underneath the city. The catacombs were originally built to house the remains of the city’s corpses. Even though there are guided tours available of the catacombs, the majority of them are not open to the general public. This is due to the terrible fact that there is a very real possibility that visitors may get lost or that anything could fall on them.

Chernobyl Exclusion Zone
The Chernobyl Nuclear Powerplant in Ukraine was the site of the worst nuclear accident that had ever happened up to that point in 1986. Residents were ordered to leave their homes in communities located within around 1,000 square miles of the incident location. There are now trips that travel inside the Exclusion Zone, but it is still against the law to live or spend a significant amount of time there.
