Mark shouted to David, requesting for a snap of him and his new friend. David called Mark mad but obliged his wishes with an incredible photograph. They knew that they had two choices when it came to sending off the picture: a biologist or uploading it to social media. Mark shakily attached the picture to an email and smashed the send button.

Mark was convinced that he had rediscovered some obscured species, and perhaps the Callichimaera perplexa itself. He soon dialed up the National Park center.

You can be sure that the internet quickly began buzzing with excitement as Mark’s discovery became a point of incredible interest. The viewers across the world were oblivious to the fact that another specimen was lurking close, one that would eventually appear and cause Mark and David to flee in terror.
