Prasarita Padottanasana, Or Wide-Legged Forward Bend
Prasarita Padottanasana, or Wide-Legged Forward Bend, is a strong stretch for the legs and back. It can help lengthen the spine and stretch the inner thighs and hamstrings. This pose may also feel relaxing because the head moves downward and the body has a chance to release tension from the back.

Stand with your feet wide apart and your back straight. Slowly fold forward from your hips and place your hands on your legs, a yoga block, or the floor. Keep your knees soft if needed. Hold the pose for at least 30 seconds, or up to 1 minute if your body feels comfortable. Rise slowly when you finish.
