Trikonasana, Or Extended Triangle Pose
Trikonasana, also called Extended Triangle Pose, helps stretch the sides of the body, open the hips, and strengthen the legs. It is useful for posture because it encourages the chest to stay open while the body stretches in different directions. Beginners can keep the head in a neutral position if looking upward feels uncomfortable.

Stand with your legs wide apart. Turn one foot outward and keep the other foot slightly forward. Stretch your arms out to the sides, then reach toward the front leg and lower your hand to your shin, ankle, or a block. Lift the other arm upward if comfortable. Keep your chest open and breathe steadily before switching sides.
