Strict Rules For Their Attire
The rule that every person from the Amish community has to follow when it comes to clothing is to keep everything as simple as possible. The level of simplicity is on such a high level that their religion prohibits them from wearing any dress that has a zipper, Velcro-style closure or opening, and even buttons. It is advised to them that their clothing should avoid all of it. In place of these, Amish people use pins and hooks to keep their clothes fit and tight.
