Many people are perfectly happy to add a white lie or two to their resumes, but this particular TV chef took this idea to a whole new level. In 2008, it was revealed that his CV boasted working for the wedding cake of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, which was complete baloney. If you think he stopped there, guess again.
The CV also went as far as to claim that he had prepared food for four U.S presidents in his life and also claimed that he was once knighted by the Queen. He gets top marks for creative ideas and for dreaming big, but when the Food Network found out, he was replaced overnight. Later, he managed to wiggle his way back onto TV, this time with his tail between his legs to an extent.

The queen of TV chef drama is back, and this time because a lot of her recipes were often plowed with that addictive substance that is so terrible for our health: sugar. In 2012, she revealed that she had type 2 diabetes, which was a bit of a sign that she should have opted for less sugar in her meals, to begin with. As it turned out, she was hiding the diagnosis, which had happened three years prior.
Not one to shy away from a commercial opportunity, Deen immediately inked a deal with pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk, to promote their injectable, non-insulin treatment for diabetes. Deen was criticized widely for trying to benefit from a diagnosis that should have been a wake-up call and should have gotten her to rewrite some of her recipes at least.
