Universal Communication System
The SSN(X) class will also be fitted with a revolutionary network capacity, which will allow its crews to contact submarines, aircraft, and ships on a huge scale while monitoring the behavior of trespassing vessels. The whole point of the SSN(X) and its development is to keep the looming new Russian submarine at bay, and so every one of its weapons must be countered in an ingenious and far-reaching manner. This kind of military design is comparable to fighting a hydra.
The Dawn Of UUVs
UUVs, or autonomous undersea vehicles, are the latest navy developments by China and Russia. While the Laika might be the main concern of the U.S. Navy, UUVs present another terrifying threat that could easily sink an entire fleet. UUVs are designed to quickly target and ensnare battleships, submarines, and aircraft carriers alike and sink them. If such vessels happened to not be adequately equipped for such conflict, they would be taken out in no time. It then falls to the SSN(X) to cope with this futuristic menace, too. But will the submarine be released in time?
