The Extra Discovery
After a couple of hours of removing bricks, David noticed that the total surface area covered didn’t include the entire hive. He had underestimated the area he would need to cover to be able to extract the whole thing.
As he worked tirelessly, the bees droned on, with their sound getting louder and louder as he kept working around them. It had become clear that they weren’t happy with the intrusion, even though the work was far from done.
Peeling Back The Layers
After getting rid of five lines of bricks, seven thin honeycombs had been discovered. This showed exactly how the bees had begun building their hive right at the beginning and gave a sense of the total scope of the hive.
David was not about to endanger the hive whatsoever. He worked carefully and meticulously, somewhat anxious under the watchful eye of the family, who realized that this was a very sensitive project.
