Stuckie
Seeing they had named him the “Mummified Dog,” it was time they gave him a more befitting name, so everyone went with Stuckie. There were a group of names selected to include “Chipper,” “Dogwood,” and “Stuckie” where votes were cast, and Stuckie got the most.
The tree coffin feature was also a standout as it was related to the “pecan logs,” which were sold at Stuckey’s stores. As such, the museum didn’t want to infringe on trademark rights, so they altered the spelling of the dog. But still, this was not the saddest part of the story.
A Sad Moment
Manager of Forest World, Brandy Stevenson notes daily, he would be bombarded with a lot of concerns about the dog’s body being stuck in a tree.
“They would always ask me how it got there, and I would tell them seeing he was a hound dog, he must have been chasing after some small creature and got stuck there, Stevenson added. The people would then be so sad and noted their sympathy towards the dog.
