Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor
Lex Luthor is one of the most-loved comic book villains who can be matched to Joker and Magneto’s likes. Seeing the strength he had in the comic books, it turned out when the film series premiered, people were looking for a power-packed actor to take on the role. In fact, people were looking for an actor such as Bryan Cranston, who came in “Breaking Bad” and had the famous line… “I am the one who knocks.” Instead, our eyes were graced with Jesse Eisenberg. Eisenberg is a great actor based on his history of other films, but this was definitely not his call…he didn’t have the strength and power to match up to the popular figure. Being Superman’s arch-nemesis, Jesse couldn’t find the spunk everyone was looking for as he was too loud, too manic, and too wild for who we expected Luthor to be. He more hinted at the Joker based on his character.
Johnny Depp as Tonto in The Lone Ranger
Johnny Depp is an interesting actor that not many others can match up to, but this particular casting had everyone wondering how this happens? The Lone Ranger hit the box office really hard as they lost an average of two hundred million, which was due to the bad decision by adding Depp in the film. Tonto’s character was Native American, and everyone was looking forward to seeing a Native American do the part. Instead, they got Depp, who was referred to as Captain Sparrow. Even the costume he chose for the film was pretty questionable and had everyone curious about what was going on.
