Movie and casting directors have a very tricky job that takes a lot out of them as they try to make a productive film and please their audience at the same time. Cameron Diaz as Jenny Everdeane

Gangs of New York, a Martin Scorses film, is a long drama that contains many intriguing sequences, interesting characters, and lots of “loud” violence. One of the film’s main characters, Jenny Everdeane, who played as a pickpocket and prostitute, was played by Cameron Diaz. Even though Diaz is a great actress, we have to say this choice was a complete failure and a sore to the eyes of those who were looking forward to the movie. The first error that stood out very loudly was her accent that kept slipping at every other minute and her lack of energetic zeal like that of the other characters. There was no spunk from her acting. Diaz is mainly a comedic actor who would like to be matched with Leonardo DiCaprio and Daniel Day-Lewis’s likes but may have to take second place. She did a poor job at a film everyone thought would be perfect.
