Mike Myers as The Cat in the Hat in Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat

Jim Carrey did a great job with his role in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and we have to give credit to the directors for this amazing work. We would think another film like this would do great, so when Myers came up with the idea of another live-action film, we were all for it. However, it fell short of being great and was a failure instead. Mike is not such a bad choice for the role, but his dominating attitude and bid to control was a major turnoff. This behavior caused the film to come off as being obnoxious, filled with poor ideas, and too much adult humor.

If they had done more with the film and made it more kid-oriented, it would have been a major success. The silly script could have remained the same, and a change in the actor’s position would have given high ratings and make it a film worth emulating by other directors. When you try to go over-the-top and do too much where it is not needed, this is the result you will get.

Jessica Henwick, Keisha Castle-Hughes, and Rosabell Laurenti Sellers as The Sand Snakes in Game of Thrones

Apparently, they seemed more like background characters in the film compared to their upfront positions in the book series.

They were so bad to the point it drove fan-favorite Lady Olenna Tyrell to call for a close of the series in season 6. There were too many negative comments about the film, and she blatantly had enough of the jeering for those who wished the book series all the best. When the decision was made, and they were granted the option to close out, fans all over the world seemingly rejoiced as they believed a bad movie would be off their screen.
