The story comes to a climax when Joseph’s brothers lose their tempers out of jealousy and grab Joseph, with some even going so far as to want to kill him. After some deliberation, they decided that being cast away as a slave to some camel-riding merchants was the best-suited fate for Joseph, and so he was dragged off to Egypt. The brothers then set about covering their villainous traces, slathering Joseph’s brilliant coat with the blood of a goat and showing the soiled garment to their father as proof of his grizzly end.

As for Joseph, he was forced to recommence his life in a wealthy Egyptian household with a man named Potiphar. Sadly, Potiphar’s wife Zuleika became enamored with Joseph at an evident level. Although Joseph turned the lady down, he was imprisoned regardless, being tossed into a cell following false rape allegations from the spurned Zuleika.
