David Bowie – $100 million
Greatest Hits: Modern Love, Changes, Space Oddity
David Bowie has around 140 million record sales across the world, with ten of them having gone platinum. Bowie’s larger-than-life and eccentric persona earned him an incredible following, beyond his fabulous music. His alter ego, Ziggy Stardust, would take up much of his public persona’s time with us. Space Oddity was released in 1983 and would become one of his best hits. He sadly passed away recently at the age of 62. He was one of the pioneers of glam and punk rock.
Glenn Frey – $200 million
Greatest Hits: James Dean, Tequila Sunrise, Lyin’ Eyes
Glenn Frey is best known for his time as The Eagles’ lead singer. He was the master of top tracks like New Kid in Town, Tequila Sunrise, Take it Easy, and Lyin’ Eyes, among many others. The man continued with his solo career once the 1980 disbanding of The Eagles was concluded. He began his lone efforts with No Fun Aloud. His other most prominent songs include Sexy Girl, Blues Smuggler, and The Heat is On.
