Billy Joel’s nickname, “Piano Man”, was well warranted, given that his first album was such a huge success. The solo artist commenced his career during the 1970s and would go on to sell over 150 million records across the world. His Greatest Hits album became one of the United States’ best-selling. The Bronx-born artist left high school early to enter the jazz world. It was during 1972 that he was approached by Columbia to sign his record deal. He possesses five Grammys.
