Brian Wilson – $75 million
Greatest hits: God Only Knows, Good Vibrations, I Get Around
Brian Wilson was one of the key founders of the Beach Boys, a band that was signed with Capitol in 1962. Wilson would also be an essential songwriter for the band, having written 24 out of the 40 hit tracks of the surfing singers. The Beach Boys consisted of his family members, including his cousin and brothers. Wilson might not perform very often today, but he is still considered to be the founder of punk rock and indie music.
John Fogerty – $70 million
John Fogerty formed Creedence Clearwater Revival along with his brother Tom, John Fogerty, and Stu Cook. They would go on to produce many incredible albums together and secure their place collectively in the most successful bands to have been formed list. John was the lead writer and singer in the group. Sadly, the band fell apart in 1972, which did not deter John’s determination as he commenced his own successful solo career. He has been listed in many top 100 musicians lists.
