A hole for the Sewage
Humans from the past have tried so many things to make their lives simple, and we believe it is the reason we can relax today in comfort and style. When it came to hygiene and cleanliness, many inventions have been made and tried, and we can learn what is good and bad when it comes to our health. As for the toilet, it has come a far way through history.
Ancient history didn’t give people the privilege of knowing about plumbing services, but the toilet has a long history. People usually dig holes in the ground where they would go and then cover up with more dirt. Later on, they built mini shelters called “drop toilets,” which provided some sense of privacy for persons. It is still used to this day but mostly for camping or hiking purposes.
Medical Honey-Corpse?
Mummies are things we hear of that were popular in the early days, or we watch them in movies. But, have you ever stop to think the reason behind doing it? 16th-century medical texts and reports note that China had the practice of mellifying people where, as they get old and would soon die, they would consume only honey.
The belief was that all their internal organs and body parts would turn honey, including their sweat and poop. After they die, they would also be placed in a stone coffin with lots of honey, and as they soak, their body parts would be sold as medicinal cures, especially for broken bones. That’s weird and kinky if you ask us!
