No Washing for the Winter
Winter can be hard on some countries while others have a fair-weather right through. Everyone works overtime in trying to keep warm and avoid every condition that would get them wet or at risk of contracting a cold. Personal hygiene is a thing many people of today focus a lot on but not so for early day people. They didn’t see the importance of having a bath or even washing their clothes as they thought it was senseless to be naked at that time.
Bear in mind people didn’t have many clothes during that time and no heaters or washing machine so this process would be hard. Also, the rivers they usually wash in were probably frozen, and that made matters worse. But, we can agree with them on one thing – we don’t often sweat in the winter, so washing didn’t have to be so frequent.
Eliminating Labor Pains
Labor pains are not the easiest things to imagine, much less having to feel them in. For the most part, we are glad women of today have so many options to choose from to reduce or eliminate the chances of experiencing this issue. Unlike the women of now who have access to painkillers and anesthesia, women in earlier times got the raw deal.
We know some of the earlier cultures used poop as a birth control option, but it was noted eagle dung stood a chance to help reduce the labor pains. It was used as a birth inducer while they had to drink it (mixed with oil and vinegar) to stop the pain. If that was the thing of now, our population would be much smaller for sure!
