So many times we wish our newly done hairstyle could last for a long time without it losing its touch. Getting that one style excites everyone, especially women, and they don’t want it to fuzz or go loose. Well, to make you not feel too bad, it was a similar obsession for women in the 18th century. However, the only difference is that their style went for a long time as it would have been too complicated to pull out easily.

But, there was a major problem as lard would be used to keep the hair intact, and with that much grease, dirt, and sweat, we can only imagine the funk it sported. For sure, after just a day or two with the lard, the hair would attract a disgusting smell.
