Senses Fail
Of course, there was no light inside this tunnel, and there was no way of telling what was happening inside that fathomless darkness. This was the kind of investigation which required proper planning and gear if he wanted to be safe. Despite the darkness, Christopher did notice that there was a strange moss-like substance coating the surrounding walls. The most important thing he would need would obviously be a flashlight, and so he excitedly made his way back home.

The Accidental Goldmine
At the time that Christopher bought the home, no one had told him that there were any abandoned mines within the property bounds. This had been a chance encounter. He commented on this unlikely find, saying, “When we bought the home, nobody told us about the fact that the estate had a lot of mines on it. We just sort of stumbled upon the gold mine one day and that was it. After I saw it, I was so excited that I almost fell over myself. The one and only thing that I could think about was Indiana Jones and underground railroads.”
