Kyle was a strong evidence locator who had excelled in retrieving essential pieces of information that would go on to greatly help various cases. One does not simply forget this kind of conditioning and skill, especially not a dog. But despite Kyle’s excellent police work, he was a kind and loving animal that would rarely resort to violence. Unless, of course, those that he had sworn to protect were threatened. He would show the same protectiveness to the Smiths, his new family.

It would fall on Officer John’s shoulders to train Kyle to become an admirable and capable member of the force. One part of Kyle’s training would be self-defense and attack. This is part of any police dog’s training, and the doggy members of the force need to be able to take down criminals just as well as they can sniff out evidence. Kyle would happily put his body on the line to defend his partner John. This was a human partner that would shape Kyle into a fine example of service dogs.
