North Sentinel Island
An island called “North Sentinel Island,” located in the Bay of Bengal, is home to the Sentinelese indigenous people and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They are one of the last communities on earth that have not been exposed to the modern world and have been known to respond violently to those from other cultures who try to interact with them. For this reason, it is highly advised that no one visit that area.
Lascaux Caves, France
The Lascaux Caves, located in Montignac, France, are home to a magnificent collection of cave paintings that were produced by early humans over the course of many generations. You will not be able to enter the cave unless you are a member of the study community. However, you may go to Lascaux II, which is an identical duplicate of the cave and is situated around 600 feet away from the original. It’s not quite the same as going to see the actual thing, but it comes in a pretty close second!
