Indeed, a Coconut crab had grabbed the rifle from a distracted soldier! The troops eventually located the stolen gun a while later. A crabby thief syndicated had made off with it and snapped it clean in half. The soldiers must have been relieved (if not amazed), as the stealing of military equipment is often a severely threatening situation.

These crabs are not just eccentric thieves, capable climbers, and now war protestors. They also have incredible lifespans.
