Following the release of British Invasion, The Zombies had become an incredibly popular band. But when “Time of the Season” came out, one of their more notable singles, the band was finished. The members did not fall into unsolvable disputes or dramatic developments. Rather, it was the Odessey and Oracle album’s mediocre success that resulted in the members’ disappointment. The initial membership refused to reunite to promote the highly profitable “Time of the Season” album with concerts. Then, in 1989, The Zombies were accepted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Earlier Issues In Cream’s Dynamic Came Back

The thick, groovy blues of Cream spawned a pioneering genre of heavy rock. The band came into being with some foundational issues that would later devastatingly come to the fore, however. Then there was the ongoing feud between Jack Bruce, the bassist, and Ginger Baker, the drummer. Eric Clapton was highly disappointed in how little the member communicated. Things got so bad that when Clapton suddenly took his fingers away from his guitar during a concert, neither Bruce nor Baker seemed to notice. It was in May 1968 that Cream split.
