Uttanasana, Or Standing Forward Bend
Uttanasana, also called Standing Forward Bend, is a deep stretch for the back of the body. It can help lengthen the hamstrings, calves, and lower back. Many people use this pose as part of a warm-up because it encourages the body to release tension slowly. It may also feel calming when done with gentle breathing.

Stand with your feet about hip-width apart and fold forward from your hips. Let your upper body move down toward your legs. You can keep your knees slightly bent if your hamstrings feel tight. Rest your hands on your legs, ankles, or the floor if you can reach. Do not force the stretch. Stay relaxed and breathe slowly.
