Balasana, Or Child’s Pose
Balasana, also called Child’s Pose, is one of the most calming yoga positions. It is often used at the beginning or end of a yoga session, or as a resting pose between harder movements. Even though it is simple, it can help stretch the back, hips, thighs, and ankles while giving the body time to relax.

Kneel on the floor and sit your hips back toward your heels. Lower your torso forward and let your forehead rest toward the floor. You can stretch your arms forward or place them back beside your legs. Breathe slowly and stay in the pose for about 1 minute. If your knees feel uncomfortable, use a cushion or blanket for support.
