From hipsters to film boffins, old-school film cameras are something of a status item. But how much are they actually worth? You would think that something this vintage would be of much interest to collectors. But the reality, according to Daniel Kalter of Lincoln Square Pawnbrokers, these cameras might better be left in Hollywood’s dumps. Given how frequently these items are purchased and sold by historical Hollywood fans, they are not difficult pieces of equipment to find.

Now, this is an obvious department to avoid. You probably would not hold much value in a VHS tape of DVD unless it contained your family videos. Most people share the same opinion, and yet there are still many people that will doggedly hold onto their childhood favorites. You can be sure that a single Blu-Ray disc will still be worth far more than most entire VHS tape collections, which go for about $5.00 for the whole box.
