As a youngster, actress Kristy McNichol often found herself playing around on film sets thanks to her parents. Her big break came while she was still very young, and in the years to follow she starred in multiple popular productions. In 2012 she quit acting for good, deciding to live her own truth, and eventually came out of the closet, saying that she had lived with her partner Martie Allen since the early 1990s. She said she came out openly as gay as she wanted to help young people who are bullied over their sexuality and raise awareness.
