Amish people aren’t allowed to date anyone who isn’t baptized in an Amish church. To start dating anyone even from the community, you must make yourself accepted in the community. Apart from these, if you are seeing someone or dating someone, you are only allowed to take that person with you to public places.

It is also written in the holy text that in case a man proposes someone he likes, it’s necessary to attain the church’s approval.
