24. Gordon Ramsay
While never someone who holds back when it comes to criticism, part of the appeal of Gordon Ramsay’s on-screen persona is the fact that he shoots from the hip, and these days it is mostly done in an attempt to teach the person on the receiving end something. One memorable incident where this wasn’t the case was in 2009 at an event in Australia, where he showed the audience a Photoshopped picture of a pig’s face attached to a nake woman’s body.
He told to the audience and it was Tracy Grimshaw, who he had had an interview with the day previously. Tracy wasn’t about to sit back and be bullied, which impressed then Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, who subsequently described Gordon as a lowlife. Gordon’s publicist issued an apology shortly after.
23. Paula Deen
One of the biggest stars for the Food Network, Paula Deen hasn’t exactly shied away from the drama. In 2013, a former employee of hers claimed that Deen had taken advantage of her. Dora Charles, a personal chef, claimed to have been an integral part of building Paula’s cooking empire, but she never received a cent as she was promised.
As court records state, Deen paid the employee less than $10 per hour, even as she started to gain fame and notoriety, which came with exponential wealth. Dora didn’t want to portray Deen as a bad person, she was just trying to get her story, so others don’t get treated poorly by her too.
