Reclaiming R-12
By employing a high-tech remotely operated robot, Taylor and his crew onboard the Research Vessel Tiburon identified the wreckage of R-12 in the fall of 2010 and recovered the wreckage. The crew went on to conduct more missions in the region, charting the location and photographing the wreckage as they proceeded. Aside from that, they made every attempt to get in touch with any surviving families of the submariners who had perished in the disaster.
