Having studied bees for decades, David knew that this hive would be the biggest one he ever encountered in his life. After sharing it on his social media accounts, other bee fanatics agreed that it was a once in a lifetime find.

One of the more important calculations of the day estimated that there were anywhere from 35 000 to 40 000 bees in this particular hive. Knowing just how many there were here, he knew the stakes were high for a safe transfer.
