The problem with brick was that it tended to fragment a lot when it was broken down, which often resulted in some of the bees being hurt in removals. Naturally, the noisy machines also disturbed the bees, and the hive would often try to retaliate.

David warned the family that they may have a harder job on their hands because of the fact that it was a brick house. He would do his best to move the bees safely, while causing the family as little disturbance as possible in the process.

Although it was challenging to remove the first few bricks, once a couple had been loosened he had a clearer view of what he was dealing with. The space between the brick and concrete was minute, so the worry was that a lot of bees were going to die from the extraction.

Thankfully, after looking through the whole left by cleared bricks, David noticed that the entire hive was still intact. He was relieved that none of the bees had been harmed by the process so far.
