A “Mummy” Dog?
After the amazing discovery, there were all types of speculation and descriptions going around to include the dog being a mummy. But, as that suggestion was made, the questions started again as to why a dog would be in the tree. After all, they were not a part of ancient Egypt, nor was the dog in a coffin.
To make things even more awry, the animal wasn’t even mummified, so that was off the books. Based on the position of the dog, it seemed his master instructed him to force itself in the tree to which it calmly obeyed. But, as noted, this was only a thought-up idea.

Unending Questions
It became an instead mysterious puzzle as the questions started rolling around…how did it get in the tree? Was ti that it was hiding from someone or something? Was it being chased?
But, even though there were so many questions, the loggers had to re-focus their time and energy on the tasks at hand – logging. They also made some decisions where the tree was concerned.
