The amazing Thunderbird definitely has a distinction for simply being a legendary muscle vehicle, yet it has clearly always been one of the Ford company’s more premium models. The company thought that since people enjoyed the vehicle so much, they can tweak it out and elevate the success of the vehicle, but that proved to be utterly wrong.
Despite having a contemporary (at that time) V8 motor, this Ford Thunderbird vehicle only produced 120 horsepower which many thought to be laughable. Thankfully, Ford made significant revisions to the following production of Thunderbird’s subsequent version to resurrect the model’s popularity among motorists.
